About ACT ProgramsACT programs save lives! We believe our programs provide the foundation for a man to find his true self and step into his masculinity and responsibility in a powerful and conscientious way with integrity.
ACT has developed Indigenous specific workshops and training that assist men to identify and connect to their emotions and spirit. From this place a man is able to discover his wounds and how they affect his current life. Through ACT programs, participants are placed in a culturally and emotionally safe environment to learn skills and strategies that help them to selfidentify with their issues, traumas and emotions. Our programs assist participants in managing positive health and wellbeing and changing their self destructive and disrespectful behaviours using a combination of activities/therapies including:
- Smoking ceremonies,
- Didg therapy,
- Land healing,
- Narrative therapy,
- Emotional release work,
- Grieving therapy.
- Relaxation,
- Meditation,
- Group discussion,
- Journaling,
- Anger/violence management,
- Mission work and life planning, and
- Traditional games and recreational activities.
